Harry Redknapp admits he wants to sign four new players in January after confessing that Tottenham's squad is "short of quality".
The Spurs boss, who saw his side reach the fourth round of the
FA Cup with a 3-1 win over Wigan on Friday, has been linked with a whole host of stars, with a striker looking his number one priority.
With the
Carling Cup semi-final first leg against Burnley next week, Redknapp is having to rotate his squad to keep going in four competitions.

surviving in the Premier League this season, will be buoyed by Redknapp's announcement that new faces will be added this month.
Darren Bent is the latest injury worry, having limped off against Wigan with a groin problem, with the Spurs boss very concerned by his current options.
Speaking after Friday's win, Redknapp said: "Everyone fit was involved. The players cast aside at the start of the season made up most of the bench so God knows how the club would have survived if I hadn't brought them back in.
"There is such a shortage here. In terms of quality, there are 40 or 50 that have dinner every day but there are only about 14 or 15 who can play in the Premier League. We need three or four players."
Portsmouth's Jermain Defoe and West Ham's Craig Bellamy are known to be on Redknapp's wanted list, but Tottenham may be priced out of moves for either player.
