Helsinki ace on AVB radar
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is hoping to wrap up a £1m deal for young Finnish striker Joel Pohjanpalo from HJK Helsinki.
The 18-year-old, who is viewed as one of the most promising young players in Finland, has attracted the attention of Spurs' scouts and the club is keen to sort out a cut-price deal with HJK this summer.
Pohjanpalo, who has attracted the attention of Liverpool and Monaco in the past, hit 11 goals for his club last season and is thought to have the credentials to go to the very top in one of Europe's best leagues.
German sides Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach are also credited with an interest amid reports they would be willing to pay up to £2million for the youngster in order to secure his signature - possibly pricing Spurs out of any deal in the process.
AVB is on the look-out for new striking talent this summer with Aston Villa's Christian Benteke still his top target - and if he was to land Pohjanpalo he would be a signing for the future rather than someone who would go straight into his first team.
