Madrid move latest
Turkish international Nuri Sahin's reluctance to be used as a makeweight in a deal could scupper Luka Modric's move to Real Madrid.
The Turkish international is apparently refusing to play ball after reports in Spain claimed he was set be used as part of a deal worth upwards of £40m.
Spurs do not want Modric to go but if he is to leave they would prefer he went abroad rather than to either of he Premier League sides who are keen on him, Chelsea of Manchester United are both interested in him.
If Sahin does pull out then Real will have to come up with a straight cash deal or find someone else who fits the bill.
