Milan swap deal twist
Tottenham Hotspur, 14:21, October 13, 2009 ,
Tottenham are lining up a deal for AC Milan's Klaas-Jan Huntelaar that could see Gareth Bale and Roman Pavlyuchenko move the other way.
Reports over the weekend suggested that Milan were keen to offer Pavlyuchenko an escape route from White Hart Lane and were also willing to send Spurs target Huntelaar in the opposite direction.
Both strikers have struggled at their respective clubs and it seems that a swap deal when the January transfer window opens would suit all the parties involved.
In a further twist to the tale it has now been suggested that Bale could also be included as part of the deal. The young Welshman has struggled to make an impact at Spurs since arriving from Southampton and Harry Redknapp is ready to let him move on if it means he can land Huntelaar.
Redknapp was keen on Huntelaar when the Dutchman was leaving Real Madrid in the summer but it remains to be seen whether the player would be willing to battle for his place with Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane.
