Modric exit almost done

Tottenham are close to agreeing a bumper £30m-plus deal for Luka Modric with just the final details to be completed.

The Croatian is fully expected to join the Spanish Champions in a deal worth £30m but the two sides have yet to agree the add ons with Spurs looking for a further £5m if certain criteria are met and Madrid looking to keep the figure closer to £3m.
Either way the deal is almost done and as soon as it gets the green light it should give new boss Andre Villas-Boas the necessary funding to pursue his own transfer targets having already secured a deal for striker Emmanual Adebayor last week.
