New Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is lining up his former player Joao Moutinho at Porto as a possible replacement for Luka Modric.
The Croatian looks almost certain to leave White Hart Lane this summer with Real Madrid ready to offer in the region of £35m to £40m for his services so Spurs will need a replacement and Moutinho fits the bill.
Having managed him when he was in charge at Porto he is no stranger to the player and has admitted he will be on his his wish list, amongst others, if and When Modric leaves.
"He was one of the most important players at Euro 2012," said Villas-Boas. "He had a fantastic tournament.
"He was an important player for Porto in the two seasons in a row when they won the title.
"Those sort of players will always be interesting to us. It doesn't mean it's the only target we're looking at, but if something happened then of course we would look upon him with some interest."
