Redknapp drops star swoop hint

Harry Redknapp has reportedly made a shock bid to tempt legendary midfielder Luis Figo out of retirement to join Tottenham this summer.
The 36-year-old Portuguese veteran decided to call time on his career at the end of last season when he helped Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan secure the Serie A title in Italy.
However, Redknapp dropped a huge hint that he sounded out the former Barcelona and Real Madrid star about staying in the game by linking up with Spurs.
Redknapp, who spoke to 2001 World Player of the Year Figo at the Sir Bobby Robson Celebrities Golf Classic in the Algarve, told Portuguese newspaper A Bola: "I talked to him, he is a great friend of Sir Bobby Robson. We talked about his future and football and he told me nothing is definitive yet."
