Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in Joe Cole but believes the player will stay at Chelsea.
Redknapp has been strongly linked with a move for the midfielder, who is currently battling his way back to fitness, but the Spurs chief believes Chelsea have no intention of cashing in on him.
Redknapp says he has not even put a call in to Chelsea because he knows what the answer would be.
"Joe Cole is a fantastic player but he is at Chelsea and he is going to stay at Chelsea," Redknapp said of the situation. "There is nothing in that whatsoever.
"Any team would like Joe but he is not a player I have even made a phone call about because I don't think it would be possible to get him. He belongs to Chelsea."
