Spurs can't miss Slocombe talent
Tottenham are tracking highly-rated Scunthorpe goalkeeper Sam Slocombe after he kept four clean sheets in his last five starts.
Slocombe has been Scunthorpe's star this season, keeping nine clean sheets in 26 appearances for the Iron, and recently received the Player of the Year award.
The 23-year-old was recently rewarded for his progress with a new deal, but his performances have not gone unnoticed with a number of clubs thought to be keeping tabs on the custodian.
Spurs goalkeeping coach Tony Parkes is understood to have watched him in action in Scunthorpe's 1-0 win over Exeter on Good Friday.
And with doubts surrounding the long-term futures of Brad Friedel's back ups Carlo Cudicini and Heurelho Gomes, there could be an opening for a young keeper at White Hart Lane this summer.
