Spurs linked with Beckham move

Tottenham Hotspur, 16:05, December 16, 2010 , | 3 Comments

Reports suggest Harry Redknapp will try and convince David Beckham to join Spurs on loan in the January transfer window.

The former England captain is available to make a loan move to Europe as the MLS season has now finished and he is not required at current club LA Galaxy until March.
Spurs are hoping to either sell or loan out David Bentley in January and boss Redknapp has targeted Beckham to replace the midfielder according to the London Evening Standard.
Beckham has previously spent time on loan at AC Milan in a bid to force his way back into the England set up and a spell in Europe may well appeal to the 35-year-old again as he is keen to continue playing for the national side.
However, Redknapp may be heading for failure in his pursuit of Beckham as the former England captain has always maintained he would only ever return to England if former club Manchester United came calling.
