Spurs look to striker
Tottenham are said to be closing in on a move for Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse who could be on his way from St James' Park.
The Senegal striker came off the bench to score the winner against West Brom on Sunday but has found regular first team football difficult to come by this season and is said to be growing increasingly frustrated at the club.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has been linked with Newcastle's Demba Ba in the past but he has been more of a regular this season so the boss believes they may have more of a chance with Cisse.
According to the Mirror, Liverpool are also very keen on the player but Newcastle are unlikely to want to allow him to leave.
Meanwhile Newcastle appear to have won the race to sign France midfielder Moussa Sissoko ahead of both Spurs and Liverpool who were also linked.
