Spurs target Brazil star
Spurs have been tipped to make a move for Brazil international midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso in the January transfer window.
Boss Andre Villas-Boas failed in his attempts to sign Portugal star Joao Moutinho and Shakhtar Donetsk forward Willian in the summer and reports suggest he has now turned his attentions to Ganso. The 22-year-old is keen to leave current club Santos and test himself in Europe and reports suggest the Brazilian outfit could be convinced to sell for a fee of £8million. However, the attacking midfielder is believed to be under contract until 2015 and given Santos' stance on forward Neymar it appears highly unlikely that £8million will be enough to secure a transfer and Spurs may have to lodge a bid in excess of £20million for Ganso, who has been linked with a host of top European sides.
