Tottenham could be closing in on a move for Yann M'Vila after Rennes confirmed an offer has come in for the midfielder.
Arch rivals Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the 22-year-old all summer but Arsene Wenger is reported to have lost interest and Tottenham could nip in. Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is weighing up his options in midfield as Luka Modric pushes for a move to Real Madrid and M'Vila could be the Croatian's replacement. Whether Tottenham are the club to have made the bid remains to be seen but Rennes Chairman Frederic de Saint-Sernin says the offer is there and the rumour mill claim Spurs have made it. "He has a very concrete offer from England," Saint-Sernin told Canal+ after his side's opening day loss to Lyon on Saturday. M'Vila will jump at the chance of a move to the Premier League and Tottenham could land him for a fee in the region of £18million.
