Striker deal on cards
Malaga striker Jose Salomon Rondon is the latest player to be linked with a switch to White Hart Lane in a possible swap deal.
Malaga are reportedly on the verge of a financial crisis and could be looking to offload their higher paid players, although that has yet to be confirmed.
The 22-year-old Rondon has also been attracting interest from elsewhere and both Chelsea and Arsenal are said to be keen, but Spurs are said to be considering an offer which would include Giovani dos Santos going in the opposite direction.
New boss Andre Villas-Boas has been linked with a host of new players and he will be sorting out his real targets as soon as possible but Rondon, who has scored 27 goals in two seasons for the club, could be a possibility.
Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini said: "Rondon has had substantial offers from Germany and England."
