Tottenham officials have held discussions with Andre Villas-Boas and are said to be preparing to offer him the manager's job.
Reports claim officials met with the former Chelsea boss' agent last Friday and Saturday about taking over from the axed Harry Redknapp and have since met the man himself. The 34-year-old former Chelsea boss is thought to have impressed chairman Daniel Levy who is now looking to push the deal through as soon as possible so he can start to build the future at White Hart Lane. The Portuguese boss is looking for assurances about the likes of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale at White Hart Lane if he were to take the job, although they are not likely to be forthcoming he will be promised a hefty transfer kitty to spend. If he were to be offered the role Villas-Boas would have to accept working with Tim Sherwood amongst his backroom staff as Levy is impressed with his work and wants him to land a more senior coaching role than his current one which is as a coach of the youth development squad.
