Brazilian star Willian has pleaded with Shakhtar Donetsk to let him join Tottenham before the transfer window closes.
Tottenham are keen to get the 24-year-old on board and reports claim Andre Villas-Boas is ready to splash out £20million to secure a deal, but Shakhtar are playing hardball. The Ukrainian club blocked a move to Chelsea back in the January window and they look to be taking the same kind of stance of a possible move to White Hart Lane. Willian is seen as the perfect replacement for Luka Modric should he join Real Madrid, but the player fears the chance to play in the Premier League with Spurs will not happen. "I have a proposal, but it is complicated because the board. Here are many players in the same position, most Brazilian. They buy and do not let go," said Willian. "That's the problem. Everyone knows that I want out, I'm here for five years, won many titles, so I hope you respect my will. "I do not regret coming here, but this situation has been happening, with Chelsea trying to get me in January and now Tottenham, we start to rethink."
