Winger inspired after Spurs run
Aaron Lennon said he tried to continue the style of play he's adopted at Spurs in his man-of-match performance for England.
The Tottenham winger was in inspirational form as he helped the Three Lions to a crushing 5-1 victory at Wembley, starting things off by winning a penalty for the first goal.
After some impressive displays for his club this season, Fabio Capello decided to start the former Leeds man and Lennon didn't let him down as England sealed their qualification for next summer's World Cup.
The Spurs star admitted: "I have started the season well and just tried to carry on what I had been doing at Spurs.
"Luckily for me, it went my way and I did quite well. My game is to try to get into the full-back as much as I possibly can."
