Zaragoza hitman could earn his Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur, 10:49, June 21, 2008

Tottenham have made Argentinian forward Diego Milito their top transfer target should Dimitar Berbatov leave White Hart Lane.

Berbatov has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Spurs are now believed to have targeted the Real Zaragoza striker as the possible replacement for the Bulgarian hit man.

Milito is expected to leave Zaragoza after their surprising relegation from La Liga last season and had been hailed as a direct replacement for Berbatov due to their stylistic and physical similarities.

The 29-year-old has been expected to fetch around £10million with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City also registering their interests.
