Crouch set for belated debut

Spurs look set to hand debuts to Peter Crouch and Sebastien Bassong when Liverpool make the trip to White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Striker Crouch should face his former side and finally play for the club where he started his career before leaving in 2000 for QPR for £60,000 without making an appearance.
Bassong is ready to partner Ledley King in the middle of defence after arriving from Newcastle, with Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Dawson both out with groin and Achilles problems respectively.
Gareth Bale (knee) is also sidelined while Jermaine Jenas will need a fitness test because of calf trouble.
