Tottenham have landed goalkeeper Jimmy Walker on a free transfer as doubts surround the fitness of Heurelho Gomes.
Gomes is struggling with a thigh injury ahead of the clash against Manchester United and although Carlo Cudicini is ready to step in against the Reds, boss Harry Redknapp is a keeper short.
There had been talk that Ben Alnwick could return from his loan spell at Norwich while David James was linked with a move from Portsmouth before the transfer window closed.
However, Redknapp ruled out both options and has instead swooped for Walker who was a free agent and on the look-out for a new club after leaving West Ham in the summer.
