Tottenham will again be without Jonathan Woodgate against Everton and Harry Redknapp is not sure when he will return.
The 29-year-old central defender has been struggling with the troublesome groin since last season and underwent surgery in the summer to try and cure the problem.
The operation did not work and an injection has not done the trick either to leave Redknapp and the rest of the Spurs staff wondering when the player will be fit to return.
"He's had the injection but it doesn't seem to have done the trick really," Redknapp said. "I don't know if he can have another operation, he's had so many. I don't know what the next step is really.
"It's a shame, he's such a good player. When he's fit he's fantastic for us but he is struggling a bit at the moment again."
Elsewhere, Ledley King is also missing from Sunday's clash with a hamstring injury but Niko Kranjcar returns to the squad after being cup-tied against Manchester United in midweek.
