Roman Pavlyuchenko is set to start against Doncaster tonight and it could be his last game as Spartak Moscow plan a £10m bid.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp will use tonight's Carling Cup clash to give some of his fringe players a run out and the Russian is set to start up front alongside Peter Crouch.
Spartak have confirmed they want to take the 27-year-old back to Russia and tonight's clash could well be his last appearance for the club.
"We need a good striker," said Spartak coach Valery Karpin. "It's a bit too much. If the price was £10million we would seriously consider it."
Elsewhere, Luka Modric and Wilson Palacios will be rested for the second round clash meaning David Bentley and Jamie O'Hara will get a rare run out for the first team.
