Spurs must wait on striker future

Tottenham, 14:07, June 4, 2010

The agent of reported Spurs target Diego Forlan says there is Premier League interest in the player, who is focused on the World Cup.

The Uruguay striker has been at the centre of speculation over a potential £20million switch to England this summer, with Tottenham believed to have targeted the former Manchester United man.
Having impressed for Atletico Madrid last season, there is talk again that he could return to the Premier League but his agent is playing down of an imminent deal.
Forlan's representative Daniel Bolotnicoff stated: "Forlan is a player who a lot of people are interested about in the European market.
"This is not the first time that a Premier League club have wanted to try to buy him back. At the moment, though, he is concentrating on the World Cup finals."
