Sheffield United defender Kyle Naughton is set to snub a move to Aston Villa and Tottenham by signing for Everton.
Everton have always been favourites to sign Naughton after making the first offer to the Blades but since then both Villa and Tottenham have matched United's £6million valuation.
Naughton actually held talks with Spurs boss Harry Redknapp on Tuesday, while Martin O'Neill was also hoping to get the opportunity to speak to the 20-year-old.
However, Naughton has set his heart on a move to Goodison Park and a deal for the England under-21 international could be wrapped up by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, Tottenham seem to have had more success when talking to Naughton's Blades team-mate Kyle Walker who looks set to snub Everton and move to White Hart Lane for £2million.
