Striker ruled out

Tottenham will be without the suspended Jermain Defoe against Stoke with Peter Crouch set to deputise.

Defoe is set to serve a three-match ban after being sent off against Portsmouth last week so Crouch is expected to partner Robbie Keane in the Spurs attack, with Roman Pavlyuchenko on the bench.
Elsewhere, boss Harry Redknapp has no fresh injury worries to concern him. Michael Dawson and Jonathan Woodgate are on the way back from Achilles and groin injuries respectively but the game against Stoke has come too soon.
Giovani dos Santos who has an ankle problem and Luke Modric (fractured leg) will also sit out the clash at White Hart Lane.
