Winger swoop ruled out

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has dropped his interest in Ashley Young as Aston Villa insist the winger is not for sale.

Redknapp has been showing a strong interest in the 24-year-old and believes the winger would be able to solve the club's long-running problems down the left flank.
However Villa boss Martin O'Neill has no intention of cashing in on his star man and Redknapp admits he will have to look elsewhere in his search for a left-winger.
"Everybody would like to have him but I don't think there is a chance we would get him," Redknapp revealed. "He's a fantastic player and Aston Villa do not want to sell him, I don't think he's available."
