Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore has missed out on signing Kayode Odejayi, Nicky Wroe and David Amoo but remains busy in the transfer market.
Odejayi opted to join free-spending Rotherham earlier this month while Wroe and Amoo have both been lured by the revolution at League One rivals Preston. But the disappointment has not stopped Moore, who also revealed he is currently waiting on decisions from unnamed strikers and midfielders as his hectic chase for new faces continues. He told the club's official website: "There are a couple of strikers I'm particularly interested in and we've been in touch with their agents and made offers. Hopefully we'll be able to come to an agreement and get them signed up. "We've made offers to one or two midfielders too and are just waiting for them to get back to us. We're also exploring all the options available to us in the loan market and there are one or two players I've spoken to other managers about. "There have been a few players we've missed out on that we were interested in like David Amoo, Kayode Odejayi and Nicky Wroe, but we'll keep going."
