Shevchenko ready for Sweden
Ukraine veteran Andrei Shevchenko insists he is fit for Euro 2012 and expects the co-hosts to be ready for Sweden.
The Dynamo Kiev star is hoping to play an important role in Monday's opener in Kiev, despite an injury-plagued campaign at club level. "The question is not whether I wish to start the match but whether I am fit. And I am," said the former AC Milan and Chelsea striker. Shevchenko added he does not expect the recent friendly defeats to count for anything: "You will see a different Ukraine against Sweden."
