Hurst joins Shrimpers

Walsall midfielder Kevan Hurst has joined Southend.

The 26-year-old has penned a two-year deal with League Two side Southend following his release by the Saddlers.
Meanwhile, Walsall have announced their Capital One Cup first-round clash at home to Brentford will take place on Saturday, August 11.
