Lancashire steps up for unlucky Smith
Manny Smith will be suspended for Walsall's crucial npower League One clash against high-flying Huddersfield.
The centre-back was harshly shown red in last weekend's 4-2 defeat at relegation rivals Exeter, a decision which changed the pattern of the game, and will now serve a one-match suspension. Olly Lancashire will step in for Smith while right-back Lee Beevers returns from his one-match ban served at St James Park to challenge Richard Taundry for a defensive start. Young striker George Bowerman, 20, and midfielder Adam Chambers are both back in training after respective foot and calf injuries. Walsall know victory against the Terriers in their final home game of the season will secure their League One survival, otherwise it will go down to a nerve-wracking final day for the second campaign in succession.
