Smith rues Saddlers luck

Walsall manager Dean Smith cut a frustrated figure after his side went down to a last-gasp 2-1 defeat against Carlisle at the Banks's Stadium.
Liam Noble came off the bench to settle a contest the Saddlers led with 18 minutes gone through Jamie Paterson's fine strike. Smith said: "We never deserved to win the game, but we should not have lost it. To be honest I thought some of the lads looked a bit jaded in the second half, and Carlisle had their midweek game at Bury called off, which helped them to be more energised. "George (Bowerman) had a fantastic chance to make it 2-1, but I'm disappointed with the last 10 minutes when it was end-to-end and we lacked organisation. If you are not going to win the game, you don't lose it. "We have lost two on the spin but that shouldn't detract from the football we are trying to play. "We are a young squad. I won't be making changes for Tuesday's home game with Port Vale (in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy) because of this result. I shall put out a team that deserves to be out there."
