Smith targeting home comforts
Walsall manager Dean Smith is pleased to have been handed a home tie in Round One of the Capital One Cup.
The Saddlers will begin the season when fellow npower League One side Brentford visit the Banks's Stadium the week before their league campaign is due to start.
"The main thing is that we're at home," Smith told Walsall's official website.
There is a lot of familiarity between the two sides and Smith will be hoping his side can find the net this time after failing to score in two encounters with the Bees last season.
He added: "We find ourselves up against a team that we know a lot about and it will be an interesting start to the season.
"Being the first game it is important and hopefully we can get off to a winning start and progress into the next round."
