Goalkeeper coach Alec Chamberlain has described the injury crisis to hit Watford between the posts as "awful".
Mart Poom (shoulder) and Scott Loach (abdominal) are both missing for manager Aidy Boothroyd, while third choice Richard Lee came back from a knee knock to take his place between the sticks.
The problem prompted the Hornets to bring in Mark Tyler from Peterborough on loan for a month and Chamberlain, who turned out in well over 250 games for the Golden Boys, says he has never experienced an injury crisis like it.
He told the official club website: "The injuries have been awful, but to come over to the goalkeeping side is unusual."
He added: "I've never known two first team goalkeepers to get injured at one club like this, for us to go from three to take someone on loan is incredible really."
