Eagles opener for Watford

Watford will travel to Crystal Palace on the opening day of the npower Championship season on August 18.

The Hornets, who sat comfortably in mid-table last season, then face home games with Ipswich and Birmingham.
Christmas will be spent on the road with a Boxing Day trip to Bristol City followed by a journey to Brighton three days later, before returning home to face Charlton on January 1.
The curtain will come down on their season with the visit of Leeds on May 4.
