Watford have announced the happy egg company as their new shirt sponsor for next season.

The Hornets have agreed a one-year deal with the UK's largest free range egg brand, who are also based in Hertfordshire, and their logo will now be on the club's new Puma strip. The agreement is also believed to contain a first on UK replica football shirts, with the sponsor's logo containing a QR code which once scanned by a smartphone will take customers straight to the company's website. Watford commercial director Raj Athwal told the club's official website: "This is a real partnership which sets Watford FC at the forefront of shirt sponsorship as demonstrated by the QR code concept. "The good people from the happy egg company are already familiar faces to many at Vicarage Road and they've long been supporters of this club. They're a local business looking to support their local club."
