Zola plays down Inzaghi rumour

Gianfranco Zola has played down speculation linking Watford with a move for Italian striker Filippo Inzaghi.

Reports suggested veteran Italy striker Inzaghi - a free agent following his release by AC Milan - was set to visit Watford's training ground on Tuesday ahead of a proposed move. But Zola laughed off the rumour, telling Sky Sports News: "He might have been at the training ground but I wasn't! I can assure you he wasn't there." Zola did confirm that QPR defender Fitz Hall is a transfer target but added: "I'm not sure if it's done and dusted. He is a player we are very much interested in."
