Jerome Thomas could make his first appearance of the season for West Brom at Newcastle on Sunday, while Billy Jones is also fit.
Former Arsenal winger, Thomas, has been battling back to fitness after undergoing a minor knee operation, but rejoined full training with the rest of the squad which has put him in contention for the trip to Tyneside this weekend. Full-back, Jones, has been sidelined because of a knee injury which prompted Baggies boss Steve Clarke to play central defender Gabriel Tamas out of position on the right side of the backline in the past two games. However, he is more likely to return to the starting XI at St James' Park which will give Clarke a welcome selection headache as the side bid to get back to winning ways following last weekend's 2-1 defeat against Manchester City. However, captain Chris Brunt and defender Steven Reid remain unlikely to play due to ongoing hamstring problems.
