West Bromwich Albion have rejected a £3million bid from Bolton Wanderers for Scottish international winger James Morrison.
The Baggies acted swiftly to reject the offer after revealing earlier today they were aware of an interest in the former Middlesbrough player.
Bolton boss Gary Megson has got money to spend and is looking to strengthen his threadbare squad with signings in the January transfer window.
But Tony Mowbray has no intention of letting Morrison, one of Albion's best performers last year, go - let alone to a club who could be fighting out for Premier League survival with the Baggies in May.
The 22-year-old signed a four-year deal at the Hawthorns when he joined from Boro for £1.5million in August 2007, which means he still has two and a half years on his current contract.
