Brunt out of Arsenal clash

West Brom skipper Chris Brunt is unavailable for Roy Hodgson's final match in charge of the Baggies against visiting Arsenal on Sunday.

Brunt has had his tonsils removed and will be watching on from the stands as Hodgson says his goodbyes to the Hawthorns after 18 months at the helm. Fellow midfielder Paul Scharner is poised to make his final Albion appearance, with his contract running out this summer and the Austria international not expecting it to be renewed. Striker Peter Odemwingie (leg) and winger Jerome Thomas (illness) are doubtful to face the Gunners as West Brom look for the victory which would bolster their chances of a top-10 finish in the Barclays Premier League.
