New West Brom boss Steve Clarke will allow midfielder Chris Brunt to continue his duties as club captain for the upcoming season.
The 27-year-old took over the captaincy during Roberto Di Matteo's time in charge, after goalkeeper Scott Carson was stripped of his role due to a string of poor performances in the team. New England boss Roy Hodgson stood by Chris Brunt last campaign and the Northern Ireland international helped secure the Baggies highest ever Premier League finish. It is not yet clear where Brunt will fit into Clarke's 4-3-3 formation, but the new man in charge says he has no intention of choosing a new captain. "I haven't seen any reason to change the captaincy and I said that quite early on when I came in," Clarke said.
