Assistant Keith Downing claims Roy Hodgson will demand West Brom end the campaign in the right manner despite his impending departure.
The Baggies are in a comfortable mid-table position after another successful campaign under Hodgson, who will lead England into Euro 2012 at the start of a four-year deal.
But Downing insists Hodgson will be mindful of upholding the integrity of the Premier League ahead of games at Bolton on Sunday and home to Arsenal on the final day of the campaign.
Bolton are battling to stay in the top flight while Arsenal are still chasing a Champions League spot.
Downing said: "The players are disappointed Roy is leaving because it was going so well. But they are professional people, will want to finish the season off in the right manner for Roy and make sure we attain the targets we set. He would demand that anyway.
"We want to get more points than last year, to keep our recent unbeaten run going, and we also know the magnitude of Sunday's game away to Bolton. They need to win the game and we have to honour the integrity of the league and finish it off in the right way."
