Megson assesses his options

West Bromwich Albion, 12:48, January 2, 2009

Bolton manager Gary Megson has confirmed he is considering upping his £3million offer for West Brom midfielder James Morrison.

Wanderers had a bid for the Scotland international rejected by their Premier League rivals but Megson is determined to add a creative spark to his Reebok engine room.

Megson will spend the next 24 hours deliberating over whether or not to go back in for Morrison, but has confirmed he does have other targets lined up.

He confirmed the initial bid was turned down, adding: "Whether we will make a renewed bid remains to be seen as there are other players we are interested in."
