Michu to make Baggies wait

West Brom will have to wait until the summer before discovering whether they have a chance of signing Rayo Vallecano's Michu.
The attacker, who is attracting plenty of interest, has been a revelation in La Liga this season and without his 15 goals Vallecano would have been relegated now. As it is they are just three points above the relegation zone with two games remaining and the 25-year-old is putting all talk of his future on hold until their fate is decided. "I am calm," Michu told AS. "This season I have done very well and, when the season ends, I want to speak with the club. Now, I am only focused on securing Rayo's mathematical survival." The Baggies have been linked with the player of late, but the fact Roy Hodgson is to depart for the England job could see a new manager look elsewhere for reinforcements. Newly promoted Southampton along with Fulham and Wigan are also said to be keen.
