West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has laid into his leaky defence after the 4-0 defeat to Sunderland but says his side must remain positive.
The Baggies have now picked up just two points from the last 30 on offer and are beginning to be cut adrift at the foot of the table with the gap to safety now six points.
The former Hibernian manager criticised his defence after Saturdays defeat at the Stadium of Light but says the players must quickly pick themselves up if they are to
escape the relegation zone. "It was a tough afternoon," Mowbray said. "I can't sit here and complain about anything.
"It's not a part of the team I've really been over-concerned about recently but today we didn't defend our box well enough. The first couple of times we got asked any questions, we conceded goals. We didn't defend well enough today. That's the bottom line.
"We need to put this defeat behind us very, very quickly and get on with the next game.
"It's just one less opportunity for us to get another three points."
The Baggies next match sees them up against the richest side in the world in Manchester City at the Hawthorns and, with their poor form away from Eastlands, punters may fancy using their
£10 free bet on West Brom to record their first victory since the beginning of October.
