Price-tag could force midfielder to stay

West Bromwich Albion, 09:39, July 8, 2009

Fulham and Bolton target Jonathan Greening will stay at West Brom unless they get £4m for him, reports say.

The Cottagers and Trotters have both been linked with a move for the 30-year-old Baggies captain, who started his career at York before a move to Manchester United in 1998.

But West Brom are not understood to be under pressure to sell this summer although a return to the Premier League at this stage in his career might be a strong pull for Greening.

Fulham would also be able to offer the midfield grafter Europa League football and boss Roy Hodgson has reportedly already failed with bids of £1.8m and £2.2m.
