Rovers ace in Mowbray's sights
West Bromwich Albion, 11:33, December 23, 2008 ,
West Bromwich Albion are the latest Premier League club to be linked with Doncaster's highly-rated midfielder Brian Stock.
The former Bournemouth and Preston player, who will be 27 on Christmas Eve, has enjoyed an impressive campaign in a Rovers side which is struggling in the Championship's relegation zone. And it is being reported that Baggies boss Tony Mowbray is keeping an eye on Stock with a view to taking him in a £1million deal during the January transfer window.
Wigan are also being linked to the player, who has has played 98 games for Doncaster and scored 11 goals since signing on a permanent basis in January 2007 following a successful half-season loan stint from Preston.
Therefore if Mowbray is interested in Stock then he will have to act quickly to ensure he is not pipped for his signature by Latics boss Steve Bruce.
