Striker still wanted
West Bromwich Albion, 15:05, October 7, 2008 ,
West Brom are still interested in signing Cerci Brugge striker Tom De Sutter, according to his Brugge president Frans Schotte.
Baggies boss Tony Mowbray may make a move for the player in the New Year but faces tough opposition from AZ Alkmarr and favourites for his signature Anderlecht.
"With De Sutter, the board of Cercle made it clear that in January we would be prepared to let him leave," Schotte said. "He has already told us of his preference for Anderlecht, but nothing is signed yet.
"We also know that West Bromwich and AZ are interested, but we will take into account Tom's preferences.
"Tom has given us a lot of pleasure and we are still enjoying his qualities and we will treat him properly.
"The transfer fee is not fixed, but we will not be asking for €15million - we do not want Tom's career to slow down."
