Paul Scharner wants to remain in the Premier League despite receiving offers from abroad after ending his four-year spell at West Brom.
The 32-year-old's contract ends this summer and he has not reached the stipulated number of games this season for a 12-month extension option to take effect. The Austrian international had previously also spent four seasons with Wigan and is keen to stay part of the top flight in England. When asked about his future, Scharner said: "Let's see. There are a few interested people, from other leagues abroad as well. "But if you play eight seasons in the Premier League, then of course you want to stay in it. "I am proud to be the only Austrian player to reach 200 appearances in the Premier League and now I'm looking to make it count. I always said my target was 10 years at this level."
