Trotters chief blasted by Baggies

West Bromwich Albion, 11:30, January 5, 2009

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has hit out at Bolton for making their interest in midfielder James Morrison public.

The Trotters have had one bid for the Baggies midfielder turned down and are unlikely to make another but boss Megson is unhappy that the whole saga is being played out in public.

"I am disappointed that any conversations between the clubs have come out.

"It isn't the way business should be done, because you can disrupt footballers, not that it will with James because he is a diamond of a lad.

"I'm trying to be very respectful to the club who made contact, but I don't think it's something that would appeal to him.

"It's dead as far as I'm concerned and as far as James is concerned."
