James Morrison claims West Brom are determined to prove wrong the pundits who tipped them for relegation this season.
The Scotland international scored the injury time equaliser for the Baggies as they secured a 1-1 draw at Tottenham on Saturday to follow up an impressive 3-0 opening day win against Liverpool. And Morrison claims pre-season predictions which suggested the team would struggle under the leadership of new boss Steve Clarke, has helped spur them on. He told the Mail: "Who said it and what do they know? We will prove them wrong. It's only the start of the season. "We can't get carried away. There is a lot of hard work. "Steve Clarke hasn't changed much (since coming in) - he's tweaked a few things and it's worked. "We would have taken four points from the start. "We never get an easy start. We had Man Utd and Chelsea last year, we've had Arsenal in the past. That's why pre-season is always crucial and something we have to work on. "Steve makes us train very hard - he gets the best out of us. His training is very good. "It's about possession, keeping the ball, moving it around well. At half-time he gave us a kick up the backside and gave us pointers on trying to keep the ball and push forward."
